YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

RoRo shipping FAQs

What does RoRo mean?

Roll-on/roll-off describes loading wheeled cargo via ramps. It is different from shipping a vehicle inside a container.

Can I ship a vehicle without travelling with it?

State this in your request. Unaccompanied cargo acceptance is checked with the operator; a passenger ferry route does not automatically offer this service.

Does the vehicle have to run?

Tell us whether it starts, brakes and steers. A vehicle that cannot manoeuvre needs a separate assessment before acceptance.

Are electric vehicles accepted?

State the powertrain and battery condition. Acceptance and preparation depend on the operator and must be confirmed for each shipment.

Can I leave boxes inside the car?

Do not assume personal belongings are accepted. Declare any contents so the operator's conditions can be checked before handover.

Does submitting a request confirm a booking?

No. We first review the shipment and prepare a proposal. Booking requires acceptance of the terms and confirmation of availability.
